Established in 1980 United Datatech Distributors (UDT) is the largest electronics recycler in the Silicon Valley*. Our core services are the purchase and resale of electronic, test and manufacturing equipment; the recycling of obsolete equipment and the destruction of proprietary materials. Our sister company, ECS Refining (ECS), handles hazardous wastes, provides electronic scrap recycling and precious metals recovery. UDT also works with a network of other recyclers and logistics companies to provide asset management and recycling services throughout the United States. Together UDT, ECS and our nationwide network of affiliates offer complete clean-out, asset management, resale and recycling services for companies relocating, consolidating, downsizing or expanding their facilities.

Ownership & Management

Jim Taggart, President of the All Metals, Inc. group of companies that include United Datatech and ECS Refining has over 25 years of business experience in recycling precious metals, electronics and a host of other "universal waste" products and commodities, he is recognized as a pioneer in sound recycling, business development and operations.

Ken Taggart, Chief Financial Officer for the All Metals, Inc. group of companies, shares a similar background of experience with his brother Jim. Ken is a Certified Public Accountant and manages the corporation's financial and compliance requirements. He has also had an integral role in the implementation of State of California Bill SB20 for ECS and UDT, which handles all CRT's, LCD's and electronic waste in an eco-friendly manner.

Kevin Scanlon, General Manager UDT and President Servoterra, has over 30 years of Operational experience in the electronics industry. Kevin has been a key contributor in a Start Up environment through and including Fortune 100 companies. Previous positions include President M-Cubed a Global Environmental Compliance and Asset Management company, VP of Ops for Big Bear Networks, GM of Operations Engineering & Sourcing at Nokia Internet Communications (NIC), VP of Manufacturing Operations at Nokia (IPRG), Director of World Wide Supplier Management at Logitech and Senior Procurement Manager at Sun Microsystems.
