Fully Operational Electronic Equipment: UDT works with companies to retain the residual value of their unwanted and excess electronic equipment through either direct purchase of the equipment or by selling it on consignment. Before resale, all reusable gear is thoroughly tested and refurbished. Our client's data security is of the utmost importance. All hard drives for reuse and/or resale are wiped to DOD standards and a Certificate of Compliance is issued upon completion. Hard drives that have failed testing and/or have physical or internal defects are transferred to ECS for secure destruction. We consider all types of electronic equipment for asset recovery, including, but not limited to: Networking (Switches, Routers, Hubs), Servers, Data Storage (SAN/NAS), Telecom, Test & Measurement, as well as Laptops & Desktop Computers.

Consignment Services: At UDT, we purchase excess/obsolete electronic inventories directly, or via a shared revenue consignment package. Consignment Services enable us to effectively research our worldwide database of customers for opportunities to return the most revenue to you.

Logistics, End-of-Life, End-of-Lease, Equipment Upgrade, and Closure Management: UDT provides logistics services for equipment located throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. A full audit trail is kept on all equipment received from acquisition to final disposition. UDT's expert and courteous drivers take special care in the removal of your gear and other items whether you are refreshing older equipment or are in the midst of a full closure. Whatever it may be, UDT can help!

If the equipment does not work, do the working parts have value?

Equipment Disassembly: UDT will evaluate the market value of individual and assemble electronic equipment. Computers, Servers, and Laptops can be assessed to determine whether or not there are valuable parts. Components such as peripherals and board level components with retained value are disassembled and those materials are sold for reuse without jeopardizing the customers's destruction requirements regarding proprietary items.

Disk Drive Testing: Our clients data is of the utmost importance! All hard drives slated for reuse and/or resale are wiped to DOD standards and a Certificate of Compliance is issued upon completion. Hard drives that have failed testing and/or have physical or internal defects are immediately transferred to ECS for secure destruction. We provide in depth detail on this service to assure our customers that their data is safely and securely removed. Whether your drives are wiped or destroyed, you can count on UDT to ensure proper handling or destruction of your precious data!

For security reasons, some equipment needs to be destroyed, working or not.

Physical Destruction of Proprietary Items: UDT provides shredding and smelting capabilities for the physical destruction and recycling of proprietary materials as requested by our customers. "Witnessed" or "Secure" destruction is available to customers who require this added measure of assurance. UDT provides Certificates of Destruction, Recycling and Compliance as a part of our detailed Settlement process. When the parts have no working value, they are recycled for their mineral and/or BTU value.

Reclamation Management: Through our sister company, ECS Refining, we are able to provide you with "closed loop" reclamation management. Because UDT and ECS Refining work in partnership under common ownership, we are able to provide you with unique accountability for all precious metals recovery and waste disposal.
